We offer elderly and vulnerable people the dignity and independence they need to remain in their own home, where they can maintain their normal routine, keep their pets, stay in touch with their friends and neighbours, and above all, live their lives the way they want to live them.
We offer their families peace of mind, knowing their loved one is being kept safe and sound with the compassion and support they need, in the place they love best, home.
Care packages cannot be a one size fits all, people are unique, and we can offer tailor made care packages to suit the specific needs of the service user.
Although we are based in Somerset our services are not limited to Somerset, we have been from Wales to Devon and everywhere in between.
We provide round the clock support for anyone suffering from
Gwen Venters will act as a recruitment agency, appointed by the Service User for the identification and introduction of a suitable Assistant. Gwen Venters Care at Home will source a suitable candidate and submit CV’s for consideration.
All candidates will be checked for clear and current DBS, up to date training, Liability Insurance before their CV’s are submitted. The Service User will be the employer, although all Assistants are self-employed and responsible for their own National Insurance and Income Tax liabilities.
The preferred length of stay is six weeks, with Assistants able to return after a break, however, each Service User is different and packages can be tailored to suit.
Level One Home Support
Fee for Support at Home single person per week. Where two Assistants are required, the costs will be for each Assistant
Level One Home Support – £875 (£125 per day)
Companionship, duties will include running the home; basic light housework; buying groceries; preparing meals; companionship; medication reminding; prescription management; social and family visits; looking after pets; the Service User can be left alone for short periods; mobile but unsteady; needs help cutting food.
Level Two Home Support
Fee for Support at Home single person per week. Where two Assistants are required, the costs will be for each Assistant
Level Two Home Support – £980 (£140 per day)
Level Three Home Support
Fee for Support at Home single person per week. Where two Assistants are required, the costs will be for each Assistant
Level Three Home Support – £1106 (£158 per day)
Waking Service Fee
£12 per call
Fee for Support at Home of couple
Where one person requires assistance, there is an additional cost per week
An additional – £385 (£55 per day)
Introduction Retainer per week.
Respite / Short Term Care – £105 per week
Long Term Care – £70 per week
If you have difficulty walking or getting around and live in your own home then you may require Help at Home. This type of Homecare is very flexible and could be for an hour a week or for several hours a day. Offered in Gillingham, Dorset and Wincanton, Somerset and anywhere in between. Sometimes the Council will contribute towards the cost.
Fees:
£20.00 per hour and mileage will be charged at 45p per mile.
