About me

Let me introduce myself: I’m Gwen Venters and I was born and raised in Zimbabwe but spent most of my young adult life in the seaside village of Port Alfred, South Africa. It was there that I met and married my husband. We were blessed with three gorgeous sons, now grown men and living their own lives, of whom we are so proud.

After 23 years working in accounts I moved into the Care Sector in 2014 and I believe I have found my purpose in person-centred care.

I am passionate about helping people, particularly the frail and elderly, and can find no greater honour than holding space for someone at the end of their life. I pride myself on being caring, loyal and professional. I have a good work ethic and always strive to give the best of myself in any situation.

I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.

Superb living in care. We had Gwen or one of her team of lovely ladies living in with us for around 16 months to look after my father-in-law. They provided a superb level of care and companionship for him, attending to all his needs. It was slightly unusual in that we were all in the same house together but they fitted in with our family life brilliantly. My father-in-law benefited in many ways. Staying at home in familiar surroundings and in his own routine, being looked after by people with a high level of skill and competence and having the undivided attention of a lovely carer. I think he felt rather spoilt which is a great way to spend the latter part of your life and we could not have asked for more. I would have no hesitation in recommending Venters and have done so to several friends.
